One of the most popular rides in urban Dallas is taking the Santa Fe Trail to and from White Rock Lake. The Santa Fe Trail is a 5 mile paved rail to trail that runs through several neighborhoods in East Dallas. Once you hit the White Rock Lake, you'll see the lake on your right and will be able to continue riding the trail all the way around the lake. This route is a total of 20 miles on 90 % paved bike path. If you get thirsty or need a break along the way, there's an opening where the Santa Fe Trail connects to White Rock Lake trail to The Lot or White Rock Ale House.
