Story

The Laguna de Santa Rosa in flood stage. This is an internationally recognized 'Ramsar Wetland of International Significance'.
We live in a vast watershed! This beautiful route will take you on a mostly bike-path tour into the internationally recognized Laguna de Santa Rosa. Depending on the season, you will observe vast wetlands underwater, or miles of lush green riparian habitat. The route along High School road affords spectacular views of the Mayacamas mountain range to the east. Your half-way nourishment break is at the intriguing new retail center, The Barlow. Modeled after the original apple packing plant, you'll find The Community Market Coop, coffee, restaurants, bakeries, beer, beer and beer, and more. The route continues to the Joe Rodota Rail Trail, which will wisk you across lush oak savanna open space back to Santa Rosa.
Happy rider at the Laguna de Santa Rosa.
