2 Days On 2 Wheels - Bentonville - Day 2
Welcome to 2 Days On 2 Wheels Bentonville! Join us as we explore our favorite Northwest Arkansas city exclusively by bike. Follow along our route or pick and choose your favorite spots and create your own adventure. Let's ride!
The Meteor
The Meteor serves as a well-known hub for cyclists. Connected to a bike shop with mechanics at the ready, it’s a great stop for all things bikes. Grab a coffee during a tune up or order some delicious breakfast tacos! The Meteor also serves as a great place to get some work done if you need to. Keep an eye out for flyers to learn about upcoming social rides around town.
Crystal Bridges
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is a must-stop destination! As you journey through exhibits, you’ll notice three constant themes surrounding you: art, architecture and nature. The museum sits among 120 acres of Ozark nature and in itself is a work of art. A massive collection of permanent art is joined by temporary exhibits and a wonderland of outdoor trails. General admission is always free, so there is no excuse to miss Crystal Bridges. For a fun night adventure, visit the outdoor architecture exhibition! Carve out plenty of time to explore every part of this museum, and don't miss Yayoi Kusama’s infinity-mirrored room “My Heart is Dancing into the Universe”!
Crystal Bridges
Aio Sushi
Craving some sushi? Look no further. This little sushi spot is a great place for lunch or dinner. Complete with an outside zen garden, the atmosphere is great. Cocktails and saki are aplenty as are the sushi options.
Town Square
Town Square is the center of Bentonville activity! Lined with shops and restaurants, it's easy to spend an afternoon walking around town. Check out the Farmer’s Market or a First Friday for fun live music. Bring your family and friends and enjoy!
Markham and Fitz
The best description of this shop: delicious! We tried the matcha white chocolate and pistachio truffle chocolate bars and they did not disappoint. Stop in and give your sweet tooth a treat with tons of delectable options.
Hillfolk
Hillfolk is a gem that can be found on the north side of 8th Street Market. If you love anything crafted, this is the shop for you. Choose from a colorful wall of yarn or shop for scents with plenty of oils and candles to pick from. There are so many fun things you can find in this store, so be sure to pop in and check it out!
Airship Coffee at Coler
Hang out like a local at this amazing community hub! A meeting point for many trails, the Airship at Coler is a great spot to begin or finish a ride in the mountain bike preserve. Grab a drink and snag a spot on the swings inside or head to the roof for a birds-eye view. With a calming stream and plenty of green foliage, take a moment and be one with nature.
Osage Park
The 12-acre Osage Park is a great place for a bike ride or a stroll through beautiful vegetation. Check out the wetland boardwalks or have a rest at the pavilion. Complete with pickleball courts and even an archery range, this park has it all.
Louise
Louise is a sweet cafe nestled in Thaden Fieldhouse. With indoor and outdoor seating, you have a great view of the runway no matter where you sit. Grab some diner-style food while watching planes arrive and take off or get a closer look by popping over to the garage and check out the planes just feet away.
Trash Ice Cream
Are you ready for options? Trash Ice Cream is your place. Pick your base and toss on toppings at your heart’s desire. This is a great spot to bring the family or grab a cone to help cool off after a ride.
Public Art
Public art is alive and well in Bentonville. Keep your eyes open and you’ll see it pretty much anywhere you can imagine. Dip into an alley, look towards the roof or scout the side of retail spaces. Follow a bike path or grab a map of OZ Art for sculptural pieces, too!
Public Art
The Walmart Museum
Bentonville is home to the Walmart Home Office, with its birthplace in the nearby town of Rogers. The Waltons still live in town and have invested in many great endeavors that make Bentonville what it is today. Check out the Walmart Museum to learn its long history and fun facts about the continued legacy of Walmart.
The Hive
As if the 21c Museum Hotel couldn't get any cooler, it’s also home to an immersive art restaurant — The Hive. Whether you are having cocktails at the bar or checking in for a meal, you are in for a treat at this restaurant. Mixed material artworks make you feel like you are dining in a hive, complete with bees. Great food and great atmosphere make this an awesome place to grab a bite.
Thank you for joining us for 2 Days on 2 Wheels! We hope you enjoyed exploring Bentonville as much as we did! What were your favorite stops? Are there any places we missed? Let us know in the comments!
