We are stoked to bring you another Ride Challenge in the Gravel Grinding Capital of the World, nay....Universe! Many folks will already be descending upon Emporia for the Garmin Lunar Ride hosted by Life Time. We wanted to give you more gravelly reasons to make a weekend of it to enjoy Emporia and the surrounding Flint Hills.
Therefore, we have put together a Flint Hills Scavenger Hunt that will have you seeking out a few of the hot spots in our area. There are three defined locations, DD Ave, Murder Ordained Bridge, and the Open Range out on Teapot Mound Rd that you must pass through. You can only hit one point per ride and you must get all three. So, that is three rides to three different destinations on the weekend of July 22nd-25th. Don't worry, you only have to complete a ride of 5 miles in order to qualify, so you don't have to go long if you don't want to. What route you take to get to the points is entirely up to you. The only thing that matters is that you start, finish or pass through each of the points over the course of the weekend. Registered Lunar riders will already get one on their course!
Happy hunting Graveleros!
