Schwinn Sting-Ray Slow Roll Challenge - Wisconsin Bike Week
Schwinn (Pacific Cycle) is excited to participate in another Wisconsin Bike Week! This year, we’re excited to share some of our favorite routes that begin and end at the Schwinn global headquarters - 4902 Hammersley Road, Madison, WI. Feel free to leave you car in our parking lot while you enjoy one of the three Schwinn routes in Ride Spot. The first 75 individuals who complete a Schwinn Challenge between September 12th – 20th will earn a Schwinn beanie to keep them warm this fall!
FOOD DRIVE: Schwinn (Pacific Cycle) is also participating in Cycle September and will have a food donation bin to combat food insecurity in our region. Please bring a toiletry or non-perishable food item to drop off before you ride! The donation bin will be at the front door of the Pacific Cycle building and can be accessed during normal business hours (8am-5pm Monday through Friday). Feeding America predicts food insecurity will affect 12% of the Dane County population. That’s an increase of 63%, meaning 24,620 more people will need help this year!
The food drive drop off location is located in the front entrance of Schwinn (Pacific Cycle),
Leaving from the Schwinn (Pacific Cycle) headquarters, you'll head south on the Southwest Commuter Bike path. Within the first 5 minutes, you ride right into the famous Fitchburg Bike Roundabout. The roundabout is the convergence of the Capital City State Trail, the Southwest Commuter Trail, Cannonball Path and Military Ridge Path and the Badger State Trail running overhead.
Stay left as you exit the roundabout to ride on the Cannonball Path.
Taking the Cannonball Path out of the roundabout you'll cross Seminole Highway and do a loop, eventually getting on to Seminole highway for a few hundred yards before re-entering the Cannonball Path, the roundabout, and an easy spin back to Schwinn (Pacific Cycle)!
Enjoy the wooded paths on this route.
