Story

This is a great loop just north of Taos, New Mexico, starting in Arroyo Seco. It's a mix of pavement and gravel with beautiful views.

You cross the Rio Grande river twice, once over the John Dunn bridge (a good place for a cooling dip) and the other time over the Gorge Bridge (not a good place for a cooling dip). It starts and ends in Arroyo Seco so if you time it correctly (which I didn't) you can start your ride with a coffee at the Taos Cow and end it with an ice cream. The gravel is pretty rough so I'd recommend fairly wide tires and a gravel bike. And make sure to watch out for sunbathers on the road. 🐍
