We are the oldest, longest and largest week-long bicycle touring event in the world. 

The ride always starts somewhere along Iowa’s western border, the Missouri River, and ends along its eastern border, the Mississippi River.

RAGBRAI was founded in 1973 by The Des Moines Register’s John Karras and Donald Kaul. We are excited to ride across Iowa for the 48th time in 2021!
